Isa Marrale

My fitness journey began in March 2020, when the pandemic hit.  I was very overweight with no knowledge of what a healthy & balanced diet looked like.  Tired of not feeling confident, I committed to losing weight.  The first 6 months of my fitness journey consisted of YouTube workouts, long walks, booty bands, and tracking my calories to ensure I was in a caloric deficit.  My relationship with food and my body eventually became damaged.

I lost a good amount of muscle, and I was not happy with how far I took my weight loss - which is when I turned to lifting weights.  I joined a gym, mastered my new caloric surplus plan, learned how to conquer my fears, and began a muscle-building program that incorporated the squat, bench, and deadlift.  Seeing my body progress quickly solidified my love for lifting, and I found my passion - to help others experience this mental and physical transformation.

When I went off to college, I found the UM Powerlifting club and decided to sign up for a meet.  I love the sport & have competed twice, winning 1st and 2nd place in my meets. Currently, I follow a “power-building” style of training - a fair mix of strength & hypertrophy training.
